UMC / Motion Calendar
UMC hearings are Zoom-only, limited to non-evidentiary motions totaling 10 minutes (5 per side). Default final judgments and simple, single-issue motions to dismiss are allowed. File the motion first, clear the date with opposing counsel, and comply with Local Rule 4 regarding good faith attempts to resolve disputes.

Courtesy Copies
All hearing materials must be provided no less than 5 days in advance using e-Courtesy for documents under 50 pages or via mail for larger submissions. Hard copies must be pre-marked and bound.

Zoom Hearings
Zoom is the default for all UMC and special set hearings unless otherwise specified. Ensure the meeting ID is included in the Notice of Hearing and all parties are informed.

Proposed Orders
Orders for specially set hearings are generated online and must be submitted to the court. Special set hearings cannot be canceled without a further court order, except by an Agreed Order or Notice of Withdrawal/Settlement.

Special Set Hearings
Special set hearings must be cleared with all parties before scheduling and are Zoom-based unless specified otherwise. For hearings over 30 minutes, email the Judicial Assistant with necessary details, copied to all parties, and include a list of mutually available times.

Emergency Motions
Temporary injunctions should not be filed as emergencies but through the normal filing process. Submit courtesy copies and request a preliminary case management conference for scheduling.

To cancel a UMC hearing, file a Notice of Cancellation with the court, email it to CAD-DivisionAK@pbcgov.org, and cancel via the Online Scheduling System. Follow instructions carefully to avoid errors.

Other
For fee hearings, entitlement must be resolved first. If uncontested, an evidentiary hearing on reasonableness may be requested via email with necessary details. These cannot be scheduled online.
